ARTIST STUDIO, KENNEDY TOWN

Brief:
Sustaina was engaged to transform a raw warehouse loft into a refined live-work sanctuary for an artist, uniting domestic comfort with gallery-grade functionality. Scope included feasibility, design development, contractor coordination, and delivery. The brief called for a bright, adaptable environment that elevates the artist’s practice while providing a comfortable, efficient home.

What we did:
We converted a raw warehouse loft into a tailored live-work studio that blends craft and construction rigor. A bespoke kitchenette and modern bathroom—built with all-new plumbing and upgraded electrics—support daily living and studio workflows.

To present artwork at its best, we specified flexible LED track and layered decorative pendants, enabling curatorial versatility and mood. The result is a bright, resilient, and adaptable space that performs as both home and gallery, enhancing the client’s day-to-day life and creative output.

My budget was small and my dreams were big, nevertheless I was treated with same graceful attitude. The team took care of every single detail finding the best solutions and offered brilliant suggestions where I could save on costs and what is really essential and I should make an investment. I loved the feeling of a caring and conscious overall outlook from everyone involved. I highly recommend and appreciate their work.
